The Pro Bowl and strong safety for the team of Pittsburgh Steelers is very famous not just for his game skills, but also for his hair. Celebrity Troy Polamalu told that he has not done his cut hair since 2000, and it is said that he allways goes through a long 45-minute hair ritual before games to take care of it.
Couple of years ago, this football player became a spokesman for company Procter & Gamble and Head & Shoulders shampoo and from then, the company has done everything to protect his hair, including a $1 million insurance policy with Lloyds of London. The celebrity insurance policy may come in handy soon cause NFL rules consider hair as a part of the player’s jersey, and so it is fair to pull it when making a tackle. Celebrity Polamalu experienced this rule first-hand when he was tackled by hair in 2006.
In summer 2011, fans freaked when a viral video appeared of Troy Polamalu getting his locks shaved. However, the video was a fake.
